Richard Winter is the owner and foreman of Asgard's Gardens Landscaping, bringing decades of outdoor and landscaping experience to the work.
His professional background began in wildfire fighting, where he worked from 1996 to 2008. He moved into landscaping in 2009, continuing in the trade through 2011 before travelling to Dallas, Texas, for six weeks of training through Aquascape University. He returned to landscaping afterward and has continued working in the trade from 2011 through 2026.
That experience has shaped the way Richard approaches landscape construction. He enjoys working outdoors, understanding how a project needs to come together, and turning ordinary or neglected yards into spaces people can actually enjoy.
As the owner and foreman of Asgard's Gardens, Richard is involved in the practical side of the business, from assessing projects and working through material requirements to helping bring the finished landscape together. He believes in doing the work properly, paying attention to the details, and leaving customers with something worth being proud of.
Outside of landscaping, Richard enjoys rock climbing, fishing, and camping. He has been happily married for 26 years and has two children.
For Richard, landscaping is about more than making a yard look better. It's about taking an ordinary space and turning it into a beautiful escape.
